FEATURES
Ammonia is produced by fish as they breathe and pass waste into aquarium water. Other sources include decomposing waste from uneaten food and other organic contributors. Ammonia accumulation is highly stressful and toxic to fish, particularly in new aquariums. If ammonia is allowed to increase in the aquarium, fish loss will occur. Test weekly, or more frequently during new aquarium establishment, post medicating, or when making any other significant changes that may affect ammonia levels.
